Many of the wineries are listed near ‘Zimmers’, small spa complexes that are spread around northern Israel. They have small cabins with jacuzzis overlooking the magnificent green hills. You can relax in your personal cabin with a splendid glass of wine from the local cellar.

The Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean were the birthplace of wine production, and the ancient land of Canaan is in fact one of the first countries to cultivate wine more than 2,000 years before the vine reached Europe.

In Israel, there are currently more than 25 commercial wineries and more than 150 boutique wineries, where wine production has become a personal obsession with wine producers striving to produce world-renowned wines.

Like other “long” countries, like Chile or Italy, Israel benefits from a variety of microclimates. While the northern region receives a lot of rain and even snow during the winter, gaining hours away, the southern region of Israel is very arid with desert conditions. This set of microclimates contributes to the cultivation of many grape varieties, which can grow in several different types of soil, producing excellent results.
